Top issues during term (3)(General)
city manager appointment
Taxpayers will feel this through the manager’s permanent salary, benefits, and contract terms, while the city may save on a costly executive search.
immigration policy
The change could pull local police time and resources toward immigration-related cooperation, with budget effects depending on how often federal assistance is requested and whether any costs are reimbursed.
cultural celebrations ban proposal
The city could save some permitting and event-support costs, but local businesses and organizers could lose out on foot traffic and event spending if these celebrations disappear.
